Terms of Service

Plain-language rules that apply when you use Summon and your subscription.

Last updated: March 2026

1. License

Your Summon subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Summon macOS application for the duration of your active subscription. One subscription may be activated on up to 3 devices simultaneously.

2. Subscription and billing

Summon is billed annually via Polar. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Billing is handled by Polar; their terms apply to payment processing.

3. Trial

A 72-hour free trial is available after starting a subscription. The trial provides full Pro access before billing begins. Trial resets may be requested via support at any time.

4. Refunds

You may request a full refund within 14 days of your original purchase. Contact hello@summon.app with your order details.

5. BYOK

Summon requires your own OpenAI API key. You are responsible for all OpenAI API usage costs associated with your key. Summon is not responsible for third-party API charges.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Summon to generate content that is illegal, abusive, or in violation of OpenAI's usage policies.

7. Warranty and liability

Summon is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Summon's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

8. Contact

Email hello@summon.app for any questions.
